I was told that this could not be done, but I didn't give up. The whole reason I built the Guinea Park Inne was to get my guineas out from under the porch where Capillaria Anulta, protozoans and coccidia were rampant. I was having to treat my birds every three months with a grueling process with Fenbednazole and was going to have to do it forever.... I took a fecal sample in on monday, a multiple sampling from all facets of my flock. The Avian vet called me yesterday and put this in my voice mail "We completed your fecal float and are pleased to tell you that we found NOTHING signifigant other than one or two protozoans. No Capillaria at all, none whatsever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't treat my birds in May like I should have, they looked better and were acting healthier since I moved them and everything that I have done in the outside runs to kill the capillary annulta. I have been faithfully treating the dirt and putting acv and garlic in the water. I am ecstatic over this, it looks like I actually beat it. I don't have to worm them anymore like before. Just an occassional fecal float to make sure it does not resurge. For once I can say I did something right with them!!
